INVERTER COMPATIBILITY SOLAR MD

Solar MD batteries are compatible with specific inverters/chargers and MPPTs such as off-grid, hybrid and UPS inverters, MPPT chargers and more.

We provide guidelines for other power electronics brands. We recommend integration with digital communication or voltage based integration by both Solar MD and power electronics manufacturers.

Specific information about the compatibility has been tested and supported:

Inverters and chargers can be coupled in three different ways with Solar MD lithium-ion battery:

• Firstly voltage-based. There is no digital communication between the battery and the inverter charger.

            It is important to ensure the following:

The voltage settings of the inverter and charger are set correctly according to the values in the battery manual.

Voltage calibration is important for each system, by verifying the voltage drop.

• We recommend connecting the Solar MD battery to the inverter charger via digital communication and Logger V2. Logger V2 combines all the information from the installed batteries in parallel and transfers digitally (via CAN bus) to the inverter or charger.
